In June 2000, before rubbing down had commenced, 065 still bore her
cabsides and the outline of the BR 'arrows' casting at the No2 end.

At the not too often photographed No.1 end, drivers side, and the BR arrow casting is still attached. The number 33065 was still carried below the handrail when pictured in June 2000 but the scanner has failed to pick it out against the weathered and washed-out grey.

33065's pre-TOPS number was 6585 and can still be seen under numerous layers of paint although it will very likely be removed during the next rub-down of the bodyside. 065 was probably renumbered into the TOPS scheme by 1974 which it went on to carry for nearly twice as long as it's pre-TOPS numerals.
