427, decked in flags and bunting, waits patiently in the platform at Shepherdswell for the gathering of former members of The Royal East Kent Regiment - 'The Buffs'.

Unveiling of the nameplate 'The Buffs'
Major Poulsen MBE (Retired) unveils the plate bearing the name of his former Regiment, watched by Committee members of the South East Loco Group and other retired members of the Regiment.

427 receives the traditional breaking of the bottle, across the running plate.
