maybe as soon as the beginning of 2009 ....

  • August Diesel Gala : this will run from Fri.1st Aug. to Sun.3rd (inclusive). The timetable/roster is still being finalised at the time of writing. The Friday will most likely be a sort of English Electric day with emphasis on 37254 and resident E.D., 73140. More detials to follow in the next week or so.
  • Guest loco for 2008 : unless something suddenly 'jumps out of the bag', due to a number of diffculties it is not envisaged there will be a guest diesel loco this season at the Spa Valley.
  • WEBSITE PAGE & PHOTO PROBLEMS : unfortunately, the ISP for this website has seen good to loose/delete one of the folders containing several meg of photos and page files. It's probably around 10-20% of the total so pages like 'Photoalbum' don't work. Repairs have yet to get going. It WILL be some time.

    Welcome to the S.E.L.G. website

    Our webpages aim to inform SELG members and the wider 'Crompton' world of our operations, developments and news on aspects of the South East locomotive Group.

    There is a wealth of information, built up over a number of years, contained within the menus on the left of the screen (recent, clickable, Updates to the site are in the bottom left corner). Note that in most menus, older files tend to be at the bottom of listings, whilst recent items tend to be towards the top.

    For the uninitiated, the pages of this site chart the recent history of the Group including:-
