Accident Damage Locomotive sustained collision damage on 9th August 1991 when it collided with a
lorry on the Chatham Dockyard Branch whilst working 13.45 Chatham - Hoo Junction.
Moved to Stewarts Lane for assessment and decision taken to repair the locomotive,
being released to traffic in September 1991.

Withdrawn from Service Stewarts Lane - 13/2/97
Disposal - Locomotive initially stored at Stewarts Lane and placed on EWS tender list in February 1997.
Preservation Sold for preservation to Mike Biddell, Blue Triangle Buses in March 1997. Moved by road to Blue Triangle Buses Depot in Rainham, Essex on 6th August 1997 for restoration.
Repainted into Blue Triangle red and cream house colours.
25/1/00 Purchased by South East Locomotive Group, moved to the East Kent Railway 17/18 March 2000.
2/7/00 Started for the first time in SELG ownership whilst in grey primer.
8/00 Repaint completed - 1970's BR Blue with small logos
6/7 '03 2nd repaint, BR Blue retained, before 4 - 5 months period on-loan at Spa Valley Railway
10/03 power unit governor failure, loco out or service for approx. 4 months
8/2/05 Tyre turning at EWS Temple Mills. Road movements from/to Tunbridge Wells on 7th & 9th Feb.
Feb-Aug'05 Out of service for extensive bodyside restoration and cab refurb., repainted into 'Construction' triple grey.
3/9/05 Returned to service, named 'RJ Mitchell' during a special event at Tunbridge Wells West.

Disposal - Locomotive initially stored at Stewarts Lane (denamed on 7/10/96) and placed on EWS tender list in February 1997.
Preservation Sold for preservation to Mike Biddell, Blue Triangle Buses in March 1997. Moved by road to Blue Triangle Buses depot in Rainham, Essex on 31st July 1997 for restoration.
Partially repainted on one side only into Blue Triangle red and cream house colours up to, but not including, the yellow section of it's 'Dutch' livery. Retained yellow cab ends.
25/1/00 Purchased by South East Locomotive Group, moved to the East Kent Railway March 2000.
14/7/01 Started for the first time in SELG ownership.
8/02 First coat of 1970's BR Blue completed, white roof and red 'Sealion' nameplates. Numbers and minor details left off until second coat applied.
7/04 Further paint applied with loco numbers and other detail. Approx 2 weeks spent at K & ESR for 'Load Bank' Diesel gala before moving on to Spa Valley Rly.
8/04 At Spa Valley Railway with 33063 for Southern Diesels Gala
