As an extension of the popular steam orientated Branchline
Experience courses, there are now the diesel loco BLE's. These involve driving either the class 27, 31 or 73 (subject to availability)
and will be
over the whole route from Lydney Junction to Parkend, formed with a train of typically 'Dogfish' ballast wagons or coaches.
Course members will have the opportuntiy to drive the loco and also act as guard on the train and spend time in Lydney Jcn. and Norchard signalboxes. The day is made more interesting by having to work alongside the steam-worked BLE on the same day. For more details, please check with
