| Notes |
Dick Advocaat's
first signing after taking over th hot seat from Walter Smith, Numan signed for Rangers in
in May 1998. This was the third time in his career that Numan was to team up with
Advocaat (previously with Haarlem and PSV Eindhoven in the Dutch league) underlining the
high regard in which Numan is held by Advocaat and many others in the Dutch game.
Alex McLeish also rates the full back very highly, and although Numan looks set to leave
Rangers at the end of the current season, he has served the club well. His driving
runs and intelligent link up play have resulted in many Rangers goals during his time at
Ibrox. Arthur is a fantastic professional who has represented Holland at the highest
level, appearing in both the USA '94 and France '98 World Cup Finals. |
