| Notes |
Brian Laudrup is
arguably the most naturally gifted player ever to wear a Rangers jersey. Defenders
knew about his tricks well in advance but were still powerless to stop him. Brian's
most memorable performance came in the Scottish Cup Final v Hearts at the end of the 1996
season. Rangers turned over Hearts 5-1 that day, with Laudrup laying on 3 goals for
Gordon Durie and scoring the other 2 himself. Another lasting memory is Brian's
diving header to seal the ninth consecutive championship title at Tannadice at the end of
season 96/97. Laudrup was also a hero in the Danish national squad with some
excellent World Cup performances. In total Brian scored an impressive 21 goals in 82
international appearances. |
