Dr. Timothy L D Collins
About me...

I currently work as the Development Manager for a small scientific instruments company called Applied Photophysics Ltd (APL), which is based in Leatherhead.

I have a degree and D.Phil. in Chemical Physics from Sussex University, and spent 8 years as a post-docoral research assistant before leaving academia to work in the private sector.

I joined APL as ascientific programmer in order to make what had previously been a hobby into a career. I have successfully developed a suite of software tools which are actively being used by several hundred people around the globe. My current position as the Development Manager allows me to be integrally involved with all technical and scientific aspects of all of Applied Photophysics' products. I maintain a strong interest in the software development.

In recent months, I have started to be involved with the strategic marketing efforts of Applied Photophysics. My involvement was initally primarily due to my web programming skills, however now my input is more from a more sales point of view.
