PS Earl Spencer was an iron built paddler , bought for use on the Holyhead and Greenore service. At 254 ft long she was capable of 13.5 knots. Some sources indicate she was originally owned by another concern and bought by L&NWR in 1877. She was withdrawn in February 1896, after only 22 years in service.
