Comments:
This little iron hulled steamer was the first to call at the Lee on Solent Pier, on the first day it opened in 1888. Her career was spent on the Southampton - Cowes run and in 1897 she suffered the mishap of being hit whilst berthed in Southampton Docks. She was badly damaged by a Royal Mail Steam Packet Co ship, the Atrato, with her repairs being carried out at Day Summers yard, at the expense of the Atrato's owners. In 1908 she received electric lighting, during her winter refit. She was withdrawn when it was decided to replace her with Medina and she made her last Portsmouth to Cowes run on 19 December 1930. She was withdrawn and laid up at Woolston and was eventually sold in 1933 for scrap to Pollock, Brown & Co.
