Comments:
Built as a large iron paddle tug, Conqueror was a balanced looking and well travelled steamer. Her many duties included towing, tendering and providing salvage services for ships stranded on the Goodwin Sands. She sailed on excursion work in the season, from Ramsgate and saw war service with the splendid name of HMS Bustler. In 1920 she was sold for use in the Channel Isles and is seen here on excursion duties in St Helier's harbour, in the middle of her career. From the Channel Islands she was sold for use on the Firth of Forth, where she sailed for five years before being sold again for towing duties on the Tees. She was then renamed Hurworth, then Hutton Cross and was finally scrapped in 1934.
