PS Crested Eagle

This picture has been supplied by Beat Zumstein and comes from "The Marine Engineer and Motorship Builder", September 1925. It shows the magnificent set of triple expansion, diagonal paddle engines, which drove Crested Eagle at a speed of 18.5 knots. The steam was supplied by two single ended boilers which burnt oil fuel on the Wallsend-Howden low pressure system. I am grateful to Beat for letting me share this picture with you.
