Comments:
Built in 1887 by Fairfield's, this ship was similar to the LCD's Victoria, which had been delivered by the smae builders a year earlier. She was well suited to cross channel duties, with an operating speed slightly in excess of 20 knots. She was reboilered in 1895 and continued in service until broken up when she was 19 years old. As can be seen from the above 1903 card, she sported narrow black tops to her funnels and this livery was carried on by other ships of the company until they merged with the South Eastern Railway in 1899.
