I am looking for help in identifying this steamer, which is shown at Clifton on this old stereoscope card I have recently acquired. She is obviously a paddle steamer and the narrative on the card states "Steamer Leaving for Cardiff Clifton". She does not appear to be a Campbells boat and the single funnel appears to have an emblem mounted on either side. Could she be a Tuckers' boat or one of the boats owned by the other early Bristol companies? Perhaps the unusual design of the saloon windows will help? Please email me at tom.lee@virgin.net if you have any suggestions.
Thanks go to Frederick Lee who identfies her as The Marchioness. More can be seen if you Click here.
