This picture of Ischia (Royal Sovereign IV) was taken on 4 October 2005 . She is still going strong, providing a ferry service from Pozzuoli near Naples to Casamicciola. A lady from Germany who took this picture whilst she was on holiday, says that Ischia may be old but she is very graceful and smooth and there are a few reminders still on Ischia from her GSNC days. This picture has been supplied by Robin Toy, whose father was 3rd Engineer aboard Royal Sovereign (IV) when she was in service with her original owners, the General Steam Navigation Co.
