This picture was taken in 1942 by Jack Morey from Southampton. Jack served on the Jeanie Deans during the Second World war and it is believed that the picture may have taken from a boat taking crew either to or from the Jeanie. After Jack passed away in 1998, his daughter, Maureen, found this photograph amongst his belongings and it is by kind permission of Maureen that the picture is reproduced here.
