This previously unpublished picture comes from the Mike Charman collection and shows passengers at Tower Pier boarding PS Laguna Belle ( shown here between 1936-1939 when in the ownership of the General Steam Navigation Co Ltd). The passengers are off for an evening trip around the London Docks, such trips being run in conjunction with the Port of London Authority. Mike Charman's father, Capt. J.W.S.Charman was Master of the Laguna Belle at this time and he can be seen overseeing the embarkation in the centre far right of the picture.
