This picture was taken in 1893 by London Belle's builders, Messrs Denny's of Dumbarton. The tables and chairs were constructed of mahogany and were finished in "plush" velvet. You can also see the glass skylight which provided additional light to the still novel electric lamps that can be seen on the ceiling. The doors in the middle of the picture had the Belle Steamers crest etched into the glass and led to the stairway to the upper deck. This picture comes from a pre First World War Belle Steamer Guidebook in the W E Groom Collection, which is today in the custody of his grand daughter Victoria.
