Comments:
As the steamers lines in this picture indicate, the Minden started life as a ferry on the Mersey. Built in Londonderry, she was named Bidston, then Old Bidston and after an uneventful career on the Mersey she was sold in June 1933 to the newly formed Blackpool Pleasure Steamers Ltd. She lasted five seasons giving pleasure trips out of Blackpool and later from Morecombe and Fleetwood, and as can be seen from the numbers on board she proved popular with her passengers. In October 1938 she was sold to TW Wards for breaking up at Preston.
