Comments:

Built as Hazel for Laird Line Ltd, she undertook the daylight service from Ardrossan to Portrush. This service ceased at the commencement of the Great War and was not resumed afterwards. Hazel was sold to the IOMSPCo in January 1919 to replace the ships that the company had lost in the conflict. She sailed for the IOMSPCo in that year and retained her name until May when she was renamed Mona (IV). Her passenger certifcate allowed for 1039 to be carried as well as cargo to and from the Isle of Man. In July 1930 she stranded on Conister Rock and was high and dry at low tide. At high tide she was taken off with the aid of tugs and without substantial damage. In the winter she undertook cargo duties and continued in service until the end of the 1938 season when she was withdrawn and sold for scrapping at Llanelly.
