Comments:

Rose, seen here on the River Mersey, and her sister Lily could carry 1831 passengers on the Seacombe to Liverpool ferry service. In 1927 they were sold to Palmer Bros of Cork, when they were renamed Failte and An-Saorstad respectively. In 1941 they were sold again, with Rose returning to the Mersey under the name Biscosalve, being finally broken up at Preston in 1951. Thanks go to Annette at Mersey Ferries for her help with research and identification of this ship.
