Comments:

Similar in appearance to St Tudno, but smaller, St Seiriol was launched on 5 March 1931 and was used for trips from Liverpool & Llandudno around Anglesey. She also undertook trips to Douglas and was a popular steamer, capable of 18.5 knots. She can be distinguished from her sister in pictures by the fact she had only four lifeboats to St Tudno's six. St Seiriol was at Dunkirk for the evacuations and tried to assist the stricken paddler Crested Eagle when she was destroyed. In 1957/8 she was chartered by the IOMSPCo for Saturday sailings to Douglas from Liverpool. She was finally retired in September 1961 and sold for scrap after 30 years continuous service.

This picture shows her in 1934 at Douglas and was taken by Ted Groom. It is reproduced here by kind permission of his grand daughter Victoria.
