1994 - With the 46+35 the first 321 tiger
airplane ever was born.Because of the fact that for the Cambrai Tiger Meet two more
aircraft were designated - the 46+36 and 46+40 - it was decided and cleared by headquarters
that also these two aircraft should get a special painting. Both Tornados got an identical
tiger marking and served - more or less - as asseccories to the 46+35. From there on they
were called the "twins". Because one of them was always a spare aircraft for the 2 others,
which had to stay on the ground, and the 46+35 was never aborted on the ground during the
Tigermeet, there is no picture which shows the twins airborne. When the repainting - most
probably into the ECR grey - took place is not known.
