Biography:Enlisted in the Army on 20th June 1940. Served in the Queen's Own Royal West Kent Regiment (#6350081).
Involved in the Battle of Blerick, Holland, on 3rd December 1944. John Abbitt was a Lance-Bombadier in a Troop of the Light A.A. Regiment (a converted battalion of the Queen's Own Royal West Kents).
