Moira and Tony moved into Rosebarn in Bovey Tracey in Devon in June 1990. It is a two bedroom bungalow with large rooms and Tony has carried out numerous ‘projects’ to increase creature comforts and to enhance the value of the property. One half of the kitchen is now the dining area, the second bedroom has an en-suite shower and W.C., Tony has a mini-office and Moira has a hobby room above the garage. |

Moira’s pride and joy is her garden and this has also been altered to include a large patio, raised beds and a fish pond with integral barbecue. The latest project involved the removal of the last section of hedge on the rear boundary and the provision of a low-maintenance gravelled area with pot plants and a water feature. |

Devon is a delightful county and we enjoy showing it off to guests during the summer. There are plenty of places to visit, the open country on Dartmoor, the Devon lanes and lunch at village pubs, the seaside of the English Riviera and many National Trust and other properties of interest. |

Since 1990 we have usually spent the English winter months in Johannesburg to be near our son, David and his family. We have what is known as a townhouse in a complex of 52 units in the northern suburb called Epsom Downs. The units vary from a one bedroom flat to three bedroom two storey houses and ours is one of the latter. The complex is contained within a security wall with a gated entrance that is supervised 24 hours per day. We arrange a house-sitter whilst we are in England. |

South Africa is a beautiful country and we always enjoy our visits over and above the joy of being with our family. We usually include a trip to a game park and last year we stayed at the Lost City for a couple of nights, quite an experience! The need to adapt to the different ways of life in UK and SA is stimulating. |
