The first thing that should do is obtain a LGV/PCV provisional licence

To get this you need to have a medical examination by either your own
or our companies GP's. Our doctors are based at Northfield, Willenhall and Wolverhampton

Please make sure a D4 form is taken with you for the doctor to fill in, along
with the appropriate fee in cash.

Next you should send the completed D2 and D4 forms along with your driving
licence to the DVLA and wait for it to be returned which normally takes
about 14 days.

A theory test, which incorporates 35 multiple choice questions and a Hazard
Perception test must be passed before any driver training can commence. This
test can be booked through ourselves at a cost of £21.50.
The official L.G.V theory test book is available from any good book store at £14.99
and will help you to prepare for the exam.
