The Dalesbus website is the official website of the Yorkshire Dales Public Transport Users Group, designed to promote the use of public transport in the Yorkshire Dales area.
There are many bus services within the Yorkshire Dales which run throughout the year, these are supplemented by extra services during the Summer period, which mainly operate on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
The main Dales areas covered by the all-year services are:
Grassington and Buckden in Upper Wharfedale from Skipton and Ilkley

|Pateley Bridge in Nidderdale from Harrogate|

|Hawes from Garsdale (on Settle-Carlisle railway)|
|Hawes and Leyburn in Wensleydale from Bedale and Northallerton|
|Keld and Reeth in Swaledale from Richmond|

The leisure bus network operates mainly in the Summer, covering these main routes:

|Darlington and Richmond to Reeth and Hawes||

|York and Harrogate to Nidderdale and Grassington|
|Pateley Bridge to Upper Nidderdale|
Huddersfield and Bradford to Grassington/Malham
The first of these Summer bus services will recommence at Easter weekend 2006. In the meantime, there are more limited Winter season services, as well as the all-year services.
The famous Settle to Carlisle Railway also passes through the Yorkshire Dales area, with several journeys daily throughout the year. There are also good rail links to several access points to the Yorkshire Dales. The Wensleydale Railway has recently re-opened and now runs between Leeming Bar, Bedale, Leyburn and Redmire throughout the year.

The Dales Bus Discount scheme offers discounts on accommodation, food and local attractions to anyone with a valid bus or train ticket.
