Mile End House
Where Eagles Fly
Come and share with us the peace and tranquility of a beautiful Highland glen. We live in a nineteenth century former schoolhouse with an attractive garden, close to the River Hinnisdale and with superb views of the Trotternish Ridge, famous for its geology, golden eagles and rare wild flowers. If you are doing the two-day Trotternish Ridge Walk, this is an excellent place to stop for the night at the halfway stage. It is an equally good base for an extended walking holiday, as there is excellent walking in every direction. There is abundant wildlife in the area, and salmon and trout fishing are available in the river.
