Tommy Truesdale’s music ranges from the Rock’n’Roll era of the 50‘s and the swinging 60‘s, right up to the Country classics of today.
After winning several talent contests, Tommy sang with the Joe Duffy Rock'n'Roll Band before becoming the vocalist with The Andy Curry Big Band.
He then formed his own backing group The Sundowners in 1963.
Tommy has played venues all over the U.K. including the legendary "Marquee" and
“2 Eyes Coffee Bar” in London. as well as appearing in several TV shows. Including
"One Night Stand" hosted by Pete Murray:
a weekly TV spot in the popular 70’s show
"The Best Disco In Town": and an acting role in the Award-winning TV series,
"The Story and the Song" with Isla St Clair.
1989-90 Tommy was voted Scotland’s Top Male Vocalist by the Scottish Country Music Fellowship.
He was one of the original presenters with West Sound Radio in Ayr, Scotland and currently presents three hours of Country Music on a Sunday afternoon.
He is also a columnist with the Ayrshire World newspaper.
