Time:

• Doors open from 1200. Drivers briefing will commence at 1230. No brief, no drive. (Hmmm. they have to issue race suits etc. Reckon practice at 1400, briefing 1300. Melindi may just be putting some time in hand ... ).

Venue:

• The Raceway, Central Warehouse, North London Freight Terminal, York Way, Kings Cross, N1 0BB, Tel 0171 833 1000.

Equipment:

• Race suits, helmets etc are all provided by the circuit. If you have your own, please feel free to use them.

Format:

• 2.5 hr endurance with teams of 2-5 drivers. (normally preceded by a short practice session). Teams with less than 5 drivers will be subject to a minimum of 4 stops to prevent any unfair advantage. Finish 1730.

At the pub lunch on Thursday last, the idea of a karting evening was mooted. I undertook to investigate the possibilities. Co-incidently Wendy Marsh, wife of Colin who came to the Brands Weekend and to Coys with us, rang me on Thursday afternoon to speak about a karting evening. There is a putative evening at Letchworth under the auspices of the 750MC on Sat 21 Nov.

I have 4 entry forms available. Please let me have your postal address so that I can forward the forms if you are interested. If there are more than four interested, I will ask the organisers for more forms. Forward the forms direct to the organisers; completed forms to reach the organisers by 12 Nov. Event will be cancelled if entries do not reach 36 by the closing date and fees will be refunded. Outline details as follows.

• Helmets, ovies, gloves provided. Use your own footware. Warm clothing recommended.

Format:

• Endurance relay race with teams selected by ballot. Each driver gets 10 mins practice. Bottle of bubbly for winning team, and medals for winning team members.
