Elise Pub Lunch

There is a tentative plan for the 5th lunchtime Elise meeting. Elise owners past, present and future are invited for a noggin nosh, and natter, much as before. All other Lotus owners, admirers, fanatics etc. are welcome. If it is held, it will probably be at the Leathern Bottle, Lewknor to give the best chance for people coming from all directions, or, to put it another way, equal pain for all.

The date hasn't even been considered yet. Sometime in Apr, May or June

In due course, please let Jon Pippard know if you intend to try to make it, and Alan Hulley or me if you are going to join the little convoy from Hertfordshire. Alan will probably select the route as usual.

After a pleasant lunchtime, although Adam seemed to have got it confused with breakfast, we came back via a different, but equally pleasant route ably lead by Mike.

We agreed that we would repeat the exercise in the spring, perhaps at a different location.

The second event held on Saturday 17th October was attended by Vivian Meazza, Alan Hulley and Mike Knowles from the Herts area. The run down, organised by Alan, was on pleasant Lotus roads on a fine autumn day. We joined John Pippard and Adam Buckley at the pub at 1200. The Elises lined up outside the pub made a fine sight. Adam prepared, but forgot to bring his digital camera. However, the steam powered cameras rose to the occasion.

We have now held the 3rd and 4th meetings,in Jun and Oct 99, both at the Leathern Bottle, Lewknor. Both represented an excelllent opportunity for Elise owners from a wide area north and south of London to meet and swap Elise stories and experiences. They were, perhaps more importantly, pleasant social occasions.
