A Homage To Subbuteo

My interest in Subbuteo began in the early 1980s when I was nine years old. A neighbour gave me a pitch, a ball, a set of goals and two old teams (Liverpool and Everton). I was hooked instantly and the following week I bought the England and Scotland teams from Jack Sharp Sports in Liverpool. From then on, I became obsessed with everything about Subbuteo. For the next few years my pocket money would be spent on extending my collection with new teams and accessories.

As I entered my teens I began to lose interest in Subbuteo. The end came when I sold much of my collection in order to finance a visit to Wembley to see Liverpool play Everton in the 1989 FA Cup Final. The remaining items in my Subbuteo collection were packed away along with the other disused toys from my childhood.

A couple of years ago I discovered Subbuteo items being auctioned on ebay, which brought many childhood memories flooding back. After a gap of about sixteen years I began to collect Subbuteo again.

The aim of this website is to showcase some of my favourite Subbuteo teams and accessories in my collection. Please note that the items on display are not for sale. Items that I am selling can be located in the 'For Sale' section of the site.
