This photo was taken in the 1970s, I guess 1974. I learnt to ring in 1973 and this would have been taken on the first bellringing tour I went on. I know that because the tower is St. Mary's, Whittlesey (near Peterborough) which was the 8th tower I visited. I remember that we were only ringing rounds. I was taught to ring by the chap on the left of me (that's on my right as we were ringing). The initials of those shown, from left to right, are JM, CI, MH (seated), DC & CA (behind me I think it is a young JM)
