Maximum 15 Marks (9 to pass)
You need to sing 3 verses of a hymn of your choice.
The verses of your hymn need to have four lines each. My choristers might select a hymn from the following list; I have given BBC 'Songs of Praise' numbers.
| 8 | Great is thy faithfulness [although this has a chorus which makes it longer] | |
| 10 | Immortal, invisible | |
| 16 | O God our help in ages past | |
| 25 | The King of love | |
| 39 | Tell out my soul | |
| 96 | There is a green hill | |
| 119 | Christ triumphant (has a short refrain) | |
| 169 | Firmly I believe and truly | |
| 303 | Lord of all hopefulness (or 'Be Thou my vision' [287] to the same tune) | |
| 354 | When a knight won his spurs |
You will need to sing verse two unaccompanied because you need to prove you can stay in tune.
