As anybody who maintains their own web site, or has at some time
created one will know; creating a web site can be a very time consuming
activity.  This is particularly true for a web site which is based around
it's own content, rather than consisting predominantly of links to other
web resources.  It is all-to-easy to make errors in formatting (particularly
when aiming for cross-platform compatibility) as well as in content,
especially since web tools and languages, and the accepted standards
for their use are constantly evolving.  And it it is also all-to-easy
for others to criticize a new creation.

For these reasons I wish to thank all those who have in any way helped
and encouraged the creation of BashRox.  Those who have helped include:

  • Those who have visited the site or the ChatRox chat room and emailed me with comments, suggestions and questions about their own specimens.
  • Newsgroup regulars who have helped me with various specific points - including those people from the Amiga news groups listed on the what's new pages who helped me ensure  this site's cross-platform compatibility with regard to the Amiga.
  • Contributors, who have provided both entirely new locations, and additional photographs for locations I have visited personally (see contributors page).
  • Other webmasters who have exchanged links with me.  Many of these people have offered me much advice and encouragement in the process.
  • Matthew Martin of Sciencecentral.net, has browsed the site on a number of occaisions and offered formatting and cross-compatibility advice.
  • Netscapeonline for user-friendly technical support and of course, for the free web space.
  • Those who have recognised my site in their award programs, particularly Rockhounders.com (for rockhounding content and theme) and Otakou (for creative design).
  • Moreover.com, ENN, UniSci and ABC Science Online for providing news headlines.
  • Newsindex.com for providing the BashRox Geo-News headlines via a searchable News service.
