When Healing
Appears to Fail
|
|
Healing is not guaranteed for many reasons, most of which are
not within the "Healer's" power to change, the "law's of Nature or
God", many of which we may not know, cannot be changed.
-
The patient may not really want to be well - the attention
from doctors and the sympathy given may be what the patient needs
-
the patient does not change the cause of the stress / or
illness - continuing to smoke, drink or take drugs
-
The patient may not be able to relax
-
Contrary religious belief may intrude
-
a strong positive mental attitude is important
-
the problem may be "too far gone" - though the
patient may come to terms with it, they may come to accept their illness,
stop fearing death, become calm and tranquil. In this case healing has not
failed.
-
The patients problems may be deep seated or have existed for
a long period and so healing will be a much more long term process.
|
All "Healers" will have failures from time to time, but
they will attempt to rationalise them or they may not be able to detach in the
future and the healing for other patients may be affected. No healer will want
to fail and will do all they can to help.
