Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:19-20 (NIV)
CHOIR
We have a wonderful choir that is growing in numbers and a marvellous Organist
in Cedric Heafield. The choir already leads worship at many special services
and at most weddings throughout the year and also at our Sunday morning9.30am
Service. We normally rehearse every other Tuesday at 7.30pm. Rehearsal dates
can be obtained from the Organist or Vicar.
We particularly invite any newcomers along to the rehearsals and join us in praising God. We are a friendly, supportive and dedicated group of folk who enjoy singing for God. We especially are praying for more junior members and men who could supply a tenor and bass line.
Singing for God is such great fun and we welcome people of all ages who are mildly interested in joining us. If you can’t hold a tune in a bucket – don’t worry. The Bible doesn't say, "Sing to the Lord with a beautiful voice." It says, "Make a joyful noise to the Lord." And that’s just what we intend to do at the rehearsals - no matter what our singing ability.
MUSIC GROUP
We are continually looking for folk who will help to make a joyful noise to
the Lord on a wide range of instruments at our 11am Sunday Special Service on
the 2nd Sunday of the month. Pat Goude, who plays our keyboard, has already
started the ball rolling and a number of young people have joined us with their
instruments recently. If you are interested in swelling the sound then please
contact Pat Goude or the Vicar for further details.
God has given us the gift of music.
Let’s glorify Him in whatever way we can,
making music for our Lord, as we give thanks for everything.
