An Inspector Calls breaks box office records
The
cast and production team were left stunned by the phenomenal success
of An Inspector Calls.
We
played to full houses for three nights as J.B Priestley's classic
thriller proved a popular choice for regular theatre-goers as well
as many local schoolchildren studying the play for GCSE. The total
of 1,600 tickets sold was a box office record!

Martin Matthews is pictured proudly standing alongside a 'Sold Out'

company.
The
AGM was chaired by our new President, Anthony Oliver. Anthony is
a long standing patron of the group and is also a respected Town

Sir Michael bows out as President
We
have said a big ‘thank you’ to our President Sir Michael Hanham
who is retiring as the club’s President at the end of the year.
Sir Michael has been our President for 25 years and both he and
Lady Hanham have been excellent supporters of the club, both in
our previous life at the Allendale Centre and now at the Tivoli
Theatre.
At
a Garden Party for more than 100 guests held at Deans Court, Chairman
Paul Dodman presented a paperweight to Sir Michael and a bouquet
of flowers to Lady Hanham, and thanked them for their enthusiastic
support over the years.
A raffle
at the Garden Party raised over £180 for the Tivoli Theatre Dressing
Rooms Appeal.
