Winnington Park Bowmen was founded in Northwich, Cheshire in 1957. The Club is dedicated to the promotion of Target Archery and to training club members to the highest standards.
The Club is the archery section of the Winnington Park Recreation Club and is affiliated to the Grand National Archery Society, shooting under GNAS rules and insurance cover. The Club boasts some of the best target archery facilities in the North West with its own outdoor range and its own indoor range for winter and all-weather shooting. The Club caters for all tastes, including recurve, compound and longbow.
The Club has a number of qualified coaches and training sessions/clinics are held monthly throughout the summer. The Club actively promotes the sport of archery in the community by staging 'have-a-go' sessions in schools, sports clubs and at local events.
The Club is very active socially and all new-comers are welcome. The club actively seeks new members whatever their age or experience.
Club activities are published in a news-letter detailing all sporting and social events and meetings.
