The investigation into our family tree started to try find out if The Wolff family was linked to a German diplomat in Egypt and if The Macdonald family was linked to Flora Macdonald.

Aug 2004 - with the consular records now available online I have been able to search several routes without having going to London FRC. A daughter was found for Alfred and his first wife. No marriage or any reason for Alfred to later be a widower yet.
-
Feb 2004 - A lucky break in the National Archives has produced a vice consul in Port Said and a link to Leipzig
-

Feb 2004 - Recent research at the London FRC has shown that they were in Smyrna (Izmir).
I await the certificates for further details.
-
Oct 2003 -The Wolff tree has faltered at my great grandfather Alfred who was born in Turkey.
Who was his first wife? Why was his father in Turkey?

Grandfather Macdonald had a professional trace the tree many years ago.
He was assured that he was descended from a brother of Flora Macdonald.
The details have since been lost so we are trying to retrace the Macdonald route back to Scotland...
It now transpires that many of the old trace details were incorrect but the Macdonald route is still heading in the right direction.

Zoro Innes is a name that I would like more information on.
Born in Ireland, working as a Bank secretary.
